«Tary Fest» has been held in the Aktobe region every spring since 2023, continuing the traditions of the revived Kokzhar Fair, which was once a prominent stop along the historic Silk Road. The festival’s theme centres on the history of millet cultivation and the labour legacy of Shyganak Bersiyev, a notable figure in local agricultural heritage. Its purpose is to promote national values and foster the development of agrarian culture. Visitors can enjoy a lively market, concerts, competitions, and tastings of traditional foods. The festival’s main attraction is its unique atmosphere: the charm of a traditional fair brought to life with a modern twist.
